Inspirations for the Martin Smith Band number 8 : Albert King

My series of homage posts to the great artists that provide inspiration to The Martin Smith Band continues.  Last time, I honoured one “King of the Blues”, the mighty B.B.    This time up we have another…  Albert King.   As well as being one of the great songwriters of the blues (Born Under a Bad Sign, Oh Pretty Woman, As The Years Go Passing By etc.),  his tasteful guitar playing and soulful voice made him one of the genre’s greatest performers. His recordings with Stax are great examples of that place where blues and soul meet.  Ladies and gentlemen, I give you:  Albert King
